As of 2025, Parks Canada is implementing a new licence of occupation fee for operators to access the Moraine Lake Road. The fees are charged to us, operators, on a per-trip basis every time we pass the gate. That is $170CAD per trip we make. Our pricing might sound higher but there are no hidden fees here. We are covering all the Parks Canada fees in our final pricing.
Note that all the fees collected go directly to fund the cost of Parks Canada’s traffic management in Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. -
Moraine Lake Road is closed to personal vehicles. Visitors with blue handicap hangtags are granted special access by Parks Canada to drive to both Moraine Lake and Lake Louise.
-
Gear Welcome! We have plenty of room for strollers, large backpacks, climbing gear and inflatable paddle boards. Unfortunately, we can't fit rigid canoes or kayaks.
-
Absolutely! As long as the change is requested more than 72 hours before departure, we will gladly accomodate you for other day.
-
Cancellations for scheduled shuttle services must be made at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time to receive a full refund. No-shows or failure to cancel a reservation at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure will result in no refund.
-
Timing Matters! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. We cannot offer refunds or reschedules for missed rides.
-
Unfortunately, they aren’t. Good news though - Parks Canada permits vehicles displaying blue handicap hangtags direct access to both Moraine Lake and Lake Louise parking areas.
-

-
There's no cell service at Moraine Lake. You'll need to travel about 3km toward Lake Louise before signals return. Plan your communications accordingly!

While we recommend walking to our pickup location when possible, if you need to drive, please park only in public designated parking areas provided by the town. Do not park in private business parking lots or block access to local businesses. Look for municipal parking signs and metered spaces, or check with local authorities for approved public parking zones near our pickup point.
